Best Use of Animation

May 2008 ink.digital wins Best Use of Animation at the advertising industry's Roses Awards, held in Manchester.

The work for the S1 Jobs “doodle” campaign also won silver in the “Best Television Campaign” category.

The campaign, which was commissioned by The Leith Agency, also won Best Integrated Campaign and three commendations, including Best Use of Animation/Illustration, at the Scottish Advertising Awards.

Bob Last, Managing Director, said: “We are all delighted, and all of the team involved deserve great credit.

“The work was commissioned by The Leith Agency. They gave us the creative brief, and we produced the work from there. We have an excellent strong relationship with the Leith, and we are working on other projects with them.

“The award has come at a terrific time, when we have been recruiting and when we are expanding. Since we first began in 2003, with a team of 5, we have seen significant growth and now employ more than 20 people in Dundee.

“There is a strong creative community in the City, and I think that helps. I think the industry will strengthen, as faster and better technology infrastructure means people can now work from anywhere, for anyone. We are currently working on projects that mean looking after work from Scandinavia and France, for example.

“The industry benefits also from strong links with the universities, but even then we are now recruiting creative people from outside the city too.”

Carri Cusick of Interactive Tayside said: “Congratulations are due to our latest award-winners, Ink.digital. Dundee creative companies are showing time and time again that we have businesses with fantastic flair and talent here in the city, working in the new technologies and with new media.”
